A pair of 1960s Lounge chairs designed by Illum Wikkelso for Niels Eilersen, part of the Capella range that includes sofas, side tables, high back chairs etc etc. The great feature from this set is the arms. They are slightly rounded on the top and oval shaped when looked at front on. Its a very pleasing design to the eye and also and very tactile to the sitter. The chairs are both rosewood and came together to us as an original pair however one is quite a bit darker than the other even though both were restored at the same time by the same person. The leather is original and we have made it more supple with leather food. The webbing was replaced as the original webbing was dry and brittle. Everything that needs to be done has been done. This is a great set of original chairs in wonderful condition. They cannot be bought new so only vintage versions in rosewood exist. Available now. Worldwide shipping available.
